Weird Thoughts to come but first an online poker hand part i

Okay got some online poker hands that I wanted to get abused for and one of my shortest live sessions ever, but I'll probably get to them in a later post as I have some random thoughts I wanted to address. But poker first, whenever I play Texas Hold'em poker live or online no matter how short the session my expectation is to win. You can't win every time, obviously, but it is still frustrating that generally any time I play a quickie I seem to lose my big pots rather than drag.

I haven't had the time to play much online or live poker, as my entire family was in town, but I still got to the casino and logged into a couple of my favorite online sites. I really only played a Sit and go or two (won one, binked out early in the other). My strategy for the first was to push, any edge and lean on people as I built a stack. Almost feels like even in the lower level sit 'n gos everybody has read Moshman and is tight the first few knockouts.

Like Gavin Smith's strategy in Multi-Table Tournaments if nobody wants those early blinds I'll take em. Also great because the other players really define their hands for you by fighting back when there isn't much to fight for. Second SNG I did the same but got bit and played a hand terribly.

Okay... here it is for your criticism, I acknowlege I played this terribly...

ME: calls 105
ur$imtaking: folds
trafodreher: calls 90

***Okay, let's acknowledge a couple of things. I'm out of position with a marginal hand. I'm calling and not dictating the action. If I want to get involved why not raise here and have "define" his hand. Or better yet, just fold as I only have A10. Can't explain the call. I know trafo is going to call after me if I do. Guess I was gambling and trying to hit something. Yeah, bad strategy. I know

*** FLOP *** [Td 3d 4c]
ME: checks
trafodreher: bets 30
mulder1967: raises 300 to 330
ME: calls 330
trafodreher: folds

***I don't mind the check here. Trafo has this pattern of donk betting post flop, small, as if he's going to steal this pot with a "30" bet. In a couple of hands I've played with him, I let him lead out small on all three streets and then raised him on the river. One time I had it, one time I didn't.

This is another bad spot for me (created by myself), as I know he's going to do that, I think mulder knows that too, so his raise could be anything. Again, instead of forcing them to define their hand, I'm on the backfoot calling like a guppy. I guess I could outright fold here. I have top pair top kicker and a couple of backdoor draws (2 or 5 of diamonds would be sweet). If I'm up against an overpair, probably going to have to play for it all on the turn. The 300 might cost me significantly more, so why speculate and just fold. Even worse my opponent didn't seem like the one to c-bet into two opponents without something. On that board and with the action preflop... that's an overpair, or an unlikely set of tens, and I'm drawing slim.

To be continued... I know you are waiting with bated breath.
