New baby, New features coming, and New uses for my pecs

milk man Lots of things happening at once in my life: The biggest and most important is the birth of my second child.  Awesome.  I have a daughter now and she's a late night partier.  Yes, up all night, sleeps all day which hopefully won't be repeated in her college years.  My wife, who has become a vending machine, somehow seems to do 100 things in a day and not get any sleep.  She's up substantially more than me because, well, because my nipples don't work the same way hers do.  Interesting fact though, some men have been known to develop milk when the mother of a newborn is out of the picture.  Which answers the question from Meet the Parents "I have nipples too, Greg, can you milk me?"  Well, yes. Fortunately, my wife isn't out of the picture so I'm not becoming some sort of mutant man and lactating.  However, I do advise for future fathers to not mention being tired or wanting a nap if your wife is nursing away all ni...

OT: Political Attacks

You may be a racist if support this man! Couple of idiots in the news this past week, I hate it when people use bad logic, and dumb people just blindly follow it because they have similar political opinions and they look up to these people.  This week, to be fair and balanced, I'll go after a liberal and a conservative.  I'm sure liberals will come on here agreeing with the liberal and conservatives with the conservative and call me an enemy of both.  Maybe I am an enemy of both parties in a two party system that promises everything to their voters and delivers nothing.  It's almost comical to me... people blindly put faith in their parties... when both parties fail, catastrophically over a period of decades, to do what they campaign for.  I've said it before on here, but if I were some nebulous group of rich and powerful, the easist way to control a populace and retain power would be to give them two options... those options split on idealogoy, ...

Around the Horn

Bullet Points: *WSOP-C Regional Championship, Chemist, Friedlander, and poker musings... *Rapture *FeltStars *IPOs (LinkedIn) **Put the results up under the Poker News on the GCP front page. Was rooting hard for the Chemist to win the Regional Championship. The guy is a gentleman and has been very generous to me in the past with advice via email. I have a really high opinion of his play so I wished he ran a little better when it mattered. He was first off the final table but did get some money back. I know he won a seat in the 1k mega I played in so it was more the 2k profit a 12k prize might first indicate. Congrats Jeremy. AJ Jejelowo has to be one of the more fun names to say. No idea if he's any good at poker but I know he was aggressive. Now, was he Darvin Moon or Jerry Yang aggressive or Tom Dwan aggressive? Time will tell. The guy that came in second Gary Friedlander was on my starting table at the 1k mega. He's got some results, and I have to say I thought he picked hi...

No wondering Newsweek is dying a slow death...

http://www.newsweek.com/2011/02/27/the-case-for-sitting-on-our-hands.html Hate to get political for a second but I just find it hard to believe something as scatterbrained as this piece can see publication. Talk about randomly assigning cause and effect to a variety of events and then retrospectively passing judgment. I ate eggs both days I had a car wreck. Eggs cause car wrecks AND cereal doesn't. The crux of this piece is the author thinks that because there is domino effect of revolution in the Arab world we've wasted a trillion dollars and ten years of effort fighting in Afghanistan and in Iraq. Obviously, the implication is those regimes would have also toppled in similar fashion. Which ignores about a billion different nuances or obvious differences between the countries revolting right now and the ones we waged war in. To further dig his hole of nonsense, he suggests that "waiting out" eastern Europe was the cause of the fall of the Iron Curtain. Facts, d...
